Vienna City Marathon course map poster
The Vienna City Marathon starts on Wagramer Straße by the Vienna International Centre and crosses the Danube on the Reichsbrücke straight away. It passes the Riesenrad and runs down the Prater Hauptallee, then goes past the Staatsoper and the Secession to a turn in front of Schloss Schönbrunn.
Near halfway it passes the Rathaus on the Ring, then goes out to a turnaround at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion and down the Hauptallee again to the Lusthaus, before the finish on the Ringstraße by the Burgtheater. The Hauptallee is where Eliud Kipchoge ran the first marathon under two hours.
