Chicago Marathon course map poster
The Chicago Marathon starts and finishes in Grant Park. Runners head north from Columbus Drive and Monroe Street, and the loop takes in 29 neighbourhoods, from Streeterville and Lincoln Park to the West Loop, Greektown, Pilsen, Chinatown and Bronzeville.
The course is known as flat and fast, and seven world records have been set on it, including Kelvin Kiptum's 2:00:35 in 2023. Near the end comes Roosevelt Road, known as Mount Roosevelt, one of the highest points of the course, then the turn to the finish.
