Carter jumped and skipped around the bases as SkyDome erupted. Radio announcer Tom Cheek called: "Touch 'em all, Joe! You'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!"
It was only the second time a World Series ended on a home run, after Bill Mazeroski's in 1960. Crowds celebrated on Yonge Street late into the night.
