About Taurus

Taurus is the sign that astrologers link with comfort, patience and the senses. Its people are described as calm and reliable, with a taste for good food, music and touch.

Persistence and loyalty are the strengths named for Taurus. The weak side is stubbornness: once a Taurus has decided, astrologers say it is slow to change course.

Decan and Sun position

In 2026, the Sun is at 3°30′ Taurus at noon on April 23 in the time zone of New York City. A decan is a part of 10 degrees, and each sign has three. In the traditional system, a decan adds the character of the sign of the same element that goes with it. The first decan belongs to Taurus itself, so its traits show most clearly.
