About Sagittarius

Sagittarius is linked with travel, learning and the search for meaning. Its people are described as optimistic and open-minded, with a love of freedom and big questions.

Honesty, humour and enthusiasm are the strengths named for Sagittarius. The weak side is bluntness: astrologers say a Sagittarius can speak first and think later.

Decan and Sun position

In 2026, the Sun is at 9°50′ Sagittarius at noon on 2 December in the time zone of Sydney. A decan is a part of 10 degrees, and each sign has three. In the traditional system, a decan adds the character of the sign of the same element that goes with it. The first decan belongs to Sagittarius itself, so its traits show most clearly.
