Paris Marathon course map poster
The Paris Marathon starts on the Champs-Élysées, below the Arc de Triomphe, and finishes on Avenue Foch. In the first few kilometres the 2026 course loops around the Palais Garnier, the opera house, and passes the Louvre. Later it runs through the Bois de Vincennes.
Later in the race it follows the Seine, on Voie Georges Pompidou and Avenue de New York. On the way it also passes Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower, and runs through Bastille and the Bois de Boulogne. In 2024, 53,899 runners finished. In 2026 there were no single-use cups on the course, so runners brought their own cup or flask to fill at the water points.
