Dublin Marathon course map poster
The Dublin Marathon starts on Leeson Street Lower and runs downhill past St Stephen's Green, through the Liberties and past St Patrick's Cathedral, then up Patrick Street toward Christchurch. At 6 km it enters Phoenix Park, Europe's largest enclosed park, and passes Dublin Zoo.
From the park it drops through Chapelizod and Inchicore to Kilmainham Gaol, reaches halfway on the Crumlin Road, and runs on through Kimmage to Terenure. The hardest climb comes late, on Roebuck Road near 35 km, before a straight run along Merrion Road to the finish by the Pepper Canister Church.
