Amsterdam Marathon course map poster
The Amsterdam Marathon starts and finishes in the Olympic Stadium of the 1928 Games. Early on it crosses the Vondelpark and runs straight through the Rijksmuseum, along the passage that links the city centre with Amsterdam-Zuid, then loops past the high-rise offices of the Zuidas business district.
From there it follows the Amstel out to a turnaround at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and back along the other bank, on part of the 1928 Olympic marathon route, past mansions and windmills. On the way back it passes the Tropenmuseum and the Heineken Experience, crosses the Vondelpark again, and finishes in the stadium in front of the grandstand.
