Berlin Marathon course map poster
The Berlin Marathon starts on Straße des 17. Juni in the Tiergarten, between the Reichstag and the Federal Chancellery, and passes the Victory Column. It runs through Moabit and Mitte, heads south to Friedrichshain, winds west between Kreuzberg and Neukölln, and goes on through Schöneberg and Friedenau to a turn at Platz am Wilden Eber in Zehlendorf.
The way back passes the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church at the end of the Kurfürstendamm, then Potsdamer Platz and the Konzerthaus, and goes through the Brandenburg Gate just before the finish. It's known as the flattest of the World Marathon Majors, and 13 marathon world records have been set here, more than at any other marathon.
